Modified Samco Heater Hose 2006/03/27 2006/04/01 UpdatedI replaced the modified Samco heater hose to the 14 years old original heater hose before the hot Japanese summer came. Because my old Volkswagen OEM heater hose is very weary and expanded. It seemed to explode immediately. |

It's my 14 years old original heater hose. The around of the yellow arrow expands very much when the water temperature gauge displays about 100 degrees. The hose that the stainless blade covers a surface isn't weary. Probably, I think that fiber is broken about the thick part. |

It's the Samco heater hose. I think that this hose is very tough than the OEM heater hose. However, my VR6 want any more toughness. Because Japanese summer is crazy hot. And check this site. www.gruvenparts.com |

2006/03/31 Updated I cut a removed OEM hose in the half. Inside of the old OEM hose. The inner surface of the wear old hose had a lot of cracks and many scale. |

At first, I used the straight AN - NPT adapter but the position of the
hose was unsuitable, so I replaced the EARL's 90 degree AN - NPT adapter. |

Replaced! I found a date on July 25th 2002 at the invoice of the Samco hose kits. In fact, I got this Samco hose kits on August 4th 2002. I spent 4 years to install this. :D 2006.04.06 OMG The upper hose was blown off from a thermostat housing, while waiting for the signal to change to the go. The red blood flowed on the asphalt and steam spouted from the bonnet hood vent. I seem not to have tightened up a hose clamp enough. I am a stupid. Go to the Billet Upper Radiator Neck Page. |
