Almost, remove a servomotor from the gauges cluster. Only pull it out. |
![]() |
Tach gauges servomotor and Speed gauges servomotor. which? Confirm the parts number before removing it. :D |
![]() |
Shave a terminal for soldering the wire. |
![]() |
After soldering to the wiring, I insulated a terminal with the heat shrink
tube for install it to the PCB. |
![]() |
Wiring was done. Pass this wiring through the hole of the PCB and I connect it to the terminal. |
![]() |
Expand a hole for the terminal which was made thick by the heat shrink
tube.. |
![]() |
Expand the width of the terminal in the behind of the PCB by the pliers. |
![]() |
Stick an insulating tape in the surface of PCB. |
![]() |
The wiring is passing a hole. |
![]() |
Connect wiring to the terminal next. |
![]() |
Soldered the both wiring. |
![]() |
Front side of PCB. The left side servomotor is tach gauge, the wiring connects to the tach gauges terminal in the right side in the behind the PCB. The right side servomotor is speed gauge, the wiring connects to the speed gauges terminal in the left side in the behind the PCB. The mechanical modify is an end. |

Next work. Make a gauges face by the drawing application soft. |
![]() |
Use the mat white film for the color laser printer. |
![]() |
Print a gauges face twice to same film for get pure black back ground. It's the most difficult work in this modification. I lost a lot of film to get one good. |

The transparent inspection. |
![]() |
Print a gauges face transparency film. |
![]() |
Stick it to the blue cellophane. |
![]() |
Stick white film to OHP film. The OHP film gives the film strength. |
![]() |
Paste a blue film on the back of the white film. |
![]() |
Cut it out to the outline. |
![]() |
Stick a gauge face in the EL sheet. |
![]() |
Done. Connect a power supply wire to the EL sheet. |
Perfect work! :D ![]() ![]() Before ![]() |
